Sculptra is a uniquely rewarding treatment for guests who want gradual, natural rejuvenation rather than an instant change. Made of poly-L-lactic acid, Sculptra works differently from traditional fillers: instead of simply adding volume, it stimulates your own body to produce new collagen over time. At Lumiere Aesthetics, Dr. Elena Marchetti, MD, uses Sculptra to restore firmness and youthful contour to areas that have lost support, particularly the temples, cheeks, and lower face.
What to Expect
Sculptra is provided as a series of treatments, typically two to three sessions spaced about four to six weeks apart, because collagen builds gradually. Each session takes roughly thirty to forty-five minutes. After numbing, Dr. Marchetti injects the reconstituted product into the deeper layers of the skin, then massages the area thoroughly. We will also ask you to massage the treated areas at home, following the well-known ‘five, five, five’ guideline of five minutes, five times a day, for five days.
Results
Patience is part of the process. Rather than an immediate reveal, results appear subtly over several weeks to months as new collagen forms, creating firmer, fuller, more youthful contours. The transformation is so gradual that friends often notice you look refreshed without knowing why. Best of all, results can last two years or more, making Sculptra one of the longest-lasting options we offer.
Good to Know
Sculptra is an excellent foundation that pairs well with Juvederm fillers for precise contouring of specific features, and with Botox for dynamic lines. Because it addresses overall structure, many guests use it as part of a comprehensive facial rejuvenation plan. Mild swelling, redness, or bruising can follow treatment, and diligent massage helps ensure smooth, even results. This treatment is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
