As we age, the face loses hyaluronic acid, collagen, and fat, leading to flattened cheeks, deeper folds, and a tired appearance. Juvederm dermal fillers, offered at Lumiere Aesthetics under the care of Dr. Elena Marchetti, MD, restore that lost volume using a smooth gel made of hyaluronic acid, a substance your body produces naturally. The result is a refreshed, lifted look that still moves and feels like you.
What to Expect
Your consultation focuses on facial balance and proportion rather than simply filling lines. Depending on your goals, we may treat the cheeks, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, or jawline. Most Juvederm formulas contain lidocaine for comfort, and we can apply additional topical numbing. Using a fine needle or a blunt-tipped cannula, Dr. Marchetti places the filler precisely, often massaging and sculpting as she works. A single-area treatment usually takes fifteen to thirty minutes.
Results
Because filler adds volume immediately, you will see a difference the moment you leave, though some swelling is normal for the first several days. Final, settled results appear within about two weeks. Depending on the product and area, results typically last from nine months to over a year. We always favor a conservative, buildable approach so your outcome looks natural, never overdone, and we will invite you back for a follow-up to fine-tune if desired.
Good to Know
Fillers and Botox work hand in hand: Botox relaxes movement while Juvederm restores structure. Many guests combine the two for a complete refresh. If skin quality is also a goal, Sculptra can build deeper collagen support over time. Expect possible bruising or swelling, and avoid alcohol, blood thinners, and intense exercise for a day or two before and after. Please share any history of cold sores, as filler can occasionally trigger a flare.
