Botox (Wrinkle Relaxer)

Botox is one of the most studied and trusted treatments in aesthetic medicine, and at Lumiere Aesthetics it is administered under the direction of our board-certified medical director, Dr. Elena Marchetti, MD. Botox is a purified botulinum toxin type A that temporarily relaxes the small muscles responsible for dynamic wrinkles, the lines that appear when you frown, concentrate, or smile. The goal is never a frozen face; it is a rested, softened version of you.

What to Expect

Your visit begins with a consultation to map your facial movement and discuss the areas that bother you most, commonly the glabella (the ’11’ lines between the brows), horizontal forehead lines, and crow’s feet around the eyes. Treatment itself takes about ten to fifteen minutes. Using a very fine needle, we place a series of precise micro-injections into the targeted muscles. Most guests describe the sensation as a quick pinch, and no anesthesia is required. You can return to work or daily activities immediately.

Results

Botox does not work instantly. You will typically notice smoother, more relaxed lines within three to five days, with full results at about two weeks. Effects generally last three to four months, after which muscle movement gradually returns and the treatment can be repeated. Many guests find that with consistent maintenance, lines become less etched over time.

Good to Know

Botox pairs beautifully with dermal fillers such as Juvederm, since Botox relaxes movement while fillers restore lost volume, a combination sometimes called a liquid refresh. For guests focused on skin texture and tone, adding a series of microneedling or a chemical peel can further enhance overall radiance. We ask that you avoid vigorous exercise, lying flat, and rubbing the treated area for four hours afterward, and mild redness or tiny bumps at injection sites usually resolve within an hour.
