What to Expect
During your appointment, your skin will first be cleansed and thoroughly dried. Your provider then holds the skin taut and glides a sterile blade across the surface at a precise angle, removing dead cells and fine hair without any discomfort. The treatment is painless, requires no numbing, and typically takes about 30 minutes. There is no downtime, though your skin may appear slightly pink for an hour or so afterward.
Results
You will see and feel a difference immediately. Skin looks brighter and feels remarkably soft, and fine lines appear softened as light reflects more evenly off the smoother surface. Because dermaplaning removes the barrier of dead cells, your serums and moisturizers absorb more effectively. Contrary to a common myth, the vellus hair grows back at the same soft texture and does not become thicker or darker.
